Arrest made in 'All American Bar' fire


LINDEN, TN (WOPC) An arrest has been made in a fire that destroyed a Linden business Monday morning.

The Perry County Sheriff's Office says Ronnie Clark was charged for aggravated arson of the All American Bar in Linden.

Sheriffs Office investigators, the Linden Fire Chief and state fire investigators began working the investigation Monday morning.. Sheriff Nick Weems says that In less than four hours, a person of interest was identified. The Sheriff says around the 10 hour mark of the investigation, Clark was carried into the Sheriffs Office by one of his deputies.

Sheriff Weems commended the efforts of the Linden Fire department and the assisting agencies in investigating the crime.

The Sheriff reports that a male and female were sleeping inside the bar when they awoke around 4am smelling smoke.“These individuals are very lucky to be alive and hope that all involved will get justice in the end”, said the Sheriff.

Clark faces 2 counts of aggravated arson, carrying a $50,000 bond on each charge, the Sheriff adds.
